Re: EF Hangzhou Grades Corruption

I wish that my oral English class didn't have textbooks. Instead they have 3! All by the same Chinese publisher all an utter waste of money (each book is 30rmb) and paper. I have never used them and never will. The Chinese education system as a whole is unable to produce students with good communication skills and it seems their publishers aren't able to produce materials to help the situation any. Personally I just ask the class on the first day of term to come up with a list of topics that they'd like to discuss or learn more about and then prepare from that. However, there are some decent course books like cutting edge which were written in the uk but are now also published in china (which makes them affordable). They contain some decent activities as well as good authentic materials for receptive skills based classes.
