Re: Regarding the issues of working at Training Centers

Get some motivation somewhere, try to save up money, and try to get further education even if it's from an online institution that is not related to ESL so you can find a job in a developed country that harbors a majority of citizens and residents who abide by the law and maintains good ethics across all walks of life. You only live once as far as I'm concerned, and you're the only ones who can improve any dire situation that you may be in.

Fair advice, although a hard pill to swallow for the DOS, Senior teacher, EF, Web, new oriental, braggard ignorant types.

A nation who regards gambling as a religion can only tell how they view the education business, endeth

Re: Regarding the issues of working at Training Centers

The owners of these crap private "educational" businesses were the ones who MADE THE DECISION to set up their business. They also CHOSE to see bribing government officials as a cop-out for their own unethical behavior! How laughable and pathetic.

If you must do something bad like kissing up, bribing, and agree to constant surveillance then you have just been provided a model for how NOT to behave. For you to then go ahead and bully those whom you hire within your company up to and including withholding passports, not getting the right visa, ungrateful salary deductions for some made up reason, and general selfish behavior where you expect others to grovel towards you and behold you like some false god basically means you not only agree with the corrupt behavior of government, but you are NOT EVEN GOOD ENOUGH TO BE ON THE LEVEL of those who are working in the corrupt government!

Folks who defend this type of behavior are sure to have their hand in the pot, and any criticism levied against the general lousiness of what's known as "chinese culture" is merely token lip service to hide their own miserable guilt. If you really didn't like the chinese government, you wouldn't be working anymore in china in the first place after having been there for so long (or you're at least trying to make and effort on getting out of there). For groveling weasel expats, it's not so hard a thing to do really. But they just cannot help but fall to the infectious mind disease of what china can "potentially" offer. At some point, you have to look at yourself and see if it's your own fault that you see the negatives of the society but you don't do anything about it, and continue to trudge along.

As for the folks at these training centers who feel that they have no chance anywhere else in the world: Get some motivation somewhere, try to save up money, and try to get further education even if it's from an online institution that is not related to ESL so you can find a job in a developed country that harbors a majority of citizens and residents who abide by the law and maintains good ethics across all walks of life. You only live once as far as I'm concerned, and you're the only ones who can improve any dire situation that you may be in.
