I know that city, but I think it is Hebei province. I have met a very down to earth and humble girl from there, but it is not actually a very pleasant city, quite dirty and parochial. Beijing ren look down on people from there as wai di ren.

But I've also equally met many peacockish girls from north china who insist a man takes them to a 5 star hotel and treats them like a princess.

Sorry to burst their bubble, but life is not a fairy tale, and WE men are not their SERVANTS!
