It is more of mentality issue relating to a false sense of entitlement, just like in China. Yes, it is a part of Russian culture for men to always pay for everything and what not, but for some Russian ladies they really take the biscuit. They have no intention of creating a career of their own, their actual career actually seems to be to look for a rich man rather than anything else. Then again, some Russian ladies that I've met, really hate this kind of mentality too.

I have known young Russian ladies that drink way too much, but I think that was more of an immaturity issue than an alcohol abuse issue. One such girl that had bad experiences with that I eventually forgave, barely drinks at all now.
