Some young people have it too easy to even bother complaining about anything, an older student even used to ridicule the younger students in conversation classes at a TC I know of for such reasons. I met him, he was a quite a nice guy, a doctor or something. Same problem in Russia apparently, sure there's less freedom under Putin, but the people tend to not want to risk losing the newly found wealth and stability. During his first time leading the country that was the case, not sure about now.

What's bothersome is that the younger people in China in general live a life of blind acceptance of authority and shun innovation, creativity, and lack a basic sense of humanity, comapassion, and courtesy. The potential of what China can become vs the reality of countless wasted minds can be too brutal to even comprehend. It is pitiful.
