This is not my first time around the block in these discussion forums about the best city in China to learn English, and that is Songyuan in Jilin province. Don't really want to give the man any more publicity then he deserves but Chinese bosses are always the masters at covering anything up and puting a new coat over it and make it look nicer. The fact is, no matter how many times you change the wolf's disguise, it's still a damned wolf! And update on the well known awardee of Worst Chinese Boss of a Foreign Language School in Songyuan Edition 2009 and 2010 respectivley, Bill Zhang or Zhang Jia Jun or quite possible Sam Cong, a name he uses often to post here, who by the way is an actually Chinese Boss. But lets go through the first, these posts have always been to forwarn Foreigners who have seen the gleeming and seemingly Golden Job offers from these schools.

First is first, Bill has now changed the name of his school 4 times, reputation battering? in dire need of easily manipulated Foreigners (Americans).

Lets go through the steps of this one.

Bill Zhang, aka Zhang Jia Jun, aka Sam Cong started his school with the "REAL" Sam Cong aa Eastern Star, and when that did not work out because he could hire no more foreigners, because of his reputation was taking a severe beating for mistreating foreigners like lap dogs, changed it to Songyuan Foriegn Studies College. Instead of repeating myself from the line before, he had to change it once more. And that is when the original posts of this horrible place appeared in 2009, changed it BACK to Eastern Star, and when someone graciously notified this expemplary website of this information had to change it once more to the now new name Foreign Studies Academy of Songyuan. So once more, the midnight runners from his school continue, lacklustre Teacher quality is ever so consistent and pay is still bad, no days off and work 12 to 14 hour days, and often are not paid the over time. Bill Zhang's school has been a consistent turnstile for Teachers.
