Oh really? Well then why do Chinese feel threatened by even small numbers of laowai in their cities? I know plenty of laowai who don't assimilate in China, not that I care, why should they? Chinese never make in effort to assimilate in Western countries. Therefore, laowai in China should not bother assimilating either.

I keep hearing about this but i have never felt that the Chinese felt threatened by me...maybe it's something to do with my attitude? maybe they don't alweays see me emerging from Pink-rooms? i don't care about the Chinese in other countries-what's that of any interest to the FT's who want to live in China.
