Re: Huizhou University - ESL industry fools

You've also got EF Moscow making the Russian style grammar mistakes with their 'communicate language teaching', lol

Yes, of course. And you are right.

Let me add the following regarding "Sarah" (EF Moscow) and her "communicate language teaching":

1. It is a severe grammar mistake - "communicate" is the verbal and not the adjectival form.
2. It is a mistake in terms of TESL methodology - some who does not know what "communicative language teaching" is/means is hardly qualified to deliver workshops to other ESK teachers - but this is what she claims. They either seem to appoint totally unqualified idiots, or this is just a fake post.
3. Very revealing for crappy EF as a whole that they appoint such unqualified "teachers" - not only in this case!
4. EF is a highly unprofessional business, and they never deliver what they (falsely) promise.

EF is just a cheap fake in itself!

Re: Huizhou University - ESL industry fools

These posters always do a poor job when pretending to be native speakers/foreign teachers - by their language they reveal themselves!

Some of the Chinese staff from schools/companies have just given up pretending to be native altogether and have started getting foreigners to do the dirty work for them, like Guangzhou Worlda recently... However, HR Director Dan LaSpina no longer seems willing to even try to repute the claims for Guangzhou Worlda, as he knows that it is a battle that he just can't win, lol. We haven't heard from him in 2 weeks or so after he ran away from this board crying because the damage had already been done. Or maybe, they'll just rely on recruiters as usual and target the inexperienced candidates out there.

As for the current laughing stock of choice, Huizhou university failed in a big way this time, not just due to language mistakes but due to a lack of cultural understanding too. Some people have been in China for quite a while and know what Chinese people tend to talk about.

You've also got EF Moscow making the Russian style grammar mistakes with their 'communicate language teaching', lol. Training centres like these tend to keep their PR campaigns going all year, but bad public schools and universities seem to do it whenever they finish a semester.
