I have used that one before and it works well.

Re: Movies online for those of us in the PRC

Now that most of us are on our summer vacation here in the PRC, I think it's a good time for us to enjoy movies online. I have a small laptop which I hook up to a monitor screen of around 25 inches so that I can enjoy watching movies online on a screen of reasonable dimensions. Mine cost me 1,200 RMB. It's "ACE'! Now there's a clue as to its manufacturer! The links I have visited regularly are shown below:

Can't you just connect the computer to the TV, foxy? Many of the Western films can be got via Chinese sites. A word of caution-don't be tempted to force a resolution if you use a small laptop-although, even a netbook will run a TV screen. I am no expert and you may be more of one than I am.

Best one I found:

http://www.solarmovie.so/

with it you can start the movie at any time, pause, stop. I don't know if it works in CH.

Thanks for the links.

Re: Movies online for those of us in the PRC

Thanks for the links, some of which I have noticed before.

The problem as always is buffering due to poor streaming speed.

I can highly recommend http://kickass.to and a good torrent client like utorrrent, to get all you want for offline viewing.

Cheers

Movies online for those of us in the PRC

Now that most of us are on our summer vacation here in the PRC, I think it's a good time for us to enjoy movies online. I have a small laptop which I hook up to a monitor screen of around 25 inches so that I can enjoy watching movies online on a screen of reasonable dimensions. Mine cost me 1,200 RMB. It's "ACE'! Now there's a clue as to its manufacturer! The links I have visited regularly are shown below:

http://www.justin.tv/directory/entertainment/movies#
http://www2.zmovie.co/
http://video.baidu.com/movie/filter-true+order-hot+pn-1
http://tubtub.com
http://nokitel.im/index.php/2011/12/24/romanian-sopcast-tv-channels/

As my internet speed is slow, there are some problems. However, I can view many movies without them stalling due to buffering difficulties. I use the Firefox browser as, unlike Internet Explorer, you can add 'Adblock plus' or a similar adblocker to get rid of annoying ads, especially those on Veetle. As for the Veetle HD plug-in that is available free, I haven't downloaded it due to my slow net speed here.
The last of the links requires Sopcast to be installed. The three AXN stations are worth viewing in particular via Socast.
Right now tubtub isn't working with me. It used to. It requires Windows Media Player. The strange thing is that my WMP's audio works for VOA Global Live radio and for RNZI, but the player doesn't work for Sopcast or tub.tub. However, I can expand Sopcast's screen by using the facility it has to do so instead of trying to do so via my WMP.
