I see. Now, what do you think of your own teaching then? Useless or not? In terms of the fact that your students are supposed to "learn" something. Do they?

There's many FT's, I've met, who are better teachers than I am; and all of those turned out to have been degreeless. Generally speaking a teacher without a degree who goes to China to teach, feels confident in his English abilities- whereas degree-holding teachers, just fall into it because their degrees were of poor grade and could not get a proper career started in their own countries. Yes, on the whole, teachers without degrees seem to be better-read. I have to re-emphasise that FT's are not proper teachers.
