Not saying I condone it, but at private crappy places, like on the mainland, employers may skip certain requirements. You couldn't for the PNET/SNET scheme, where you need solid credentials from your own country, a PGCE from the UK for example, or the minimum of an English Degree and one month TEFL for the lower pay bands. Therefore, uneducated deechers would be out of that scheme!
