Apparently they were both former shareholders or co-owners of two of Sanlitun's most popular western restaurant, although the not quite the most reliable of sources doesn't seem to give any real information. They could have been illegally working together.

If China is enforcing its immigration laws and regulations, it is a consequent thing to do, and I can't see anything wrong with it.

I just think that going after the father was overkill, and that by taking out both their knees so to speak....well. Personally, I do not agree with you as I feel it is tit for tat or quid pro quo behaviour. Nothing against you mind, just my own right to disagree.
