Thank you, Turnoi.
I know that you have studied and written about China's history in depth, including her languages. It's an impressive achievement. And I certainly do not imply that you should know as much about India as you know about China when I ask the following: Geographically, India is kinda near China (i.e. it's not in the West), almost as big in population including half a billion poor like in China, also with a very old and sophisticated civilization (including Hinduism), essentially based on castes (no democracy there for millennia for sure). How come India, almost "out of the blue", starting at the moment of her independence from England in 1947, adopted democracy. And China never did.
