I recently read in an article that the approval points for the Chinese have dipped big time in some Western European countries as well as in America. I think many expats who fell in love with the "romanticized" version of China have gone there and gone back to their homes and spread the word around. This is a good thing.

The increasingly globalised world probably cuts both ways. I am equally happy that more Chinese are aware that England is not just a land full of green grass, castles and well-mannered gentlemen. Then again, I am now forced to try to prove that we have much more to offer as a country than binge-drinking, fish and chips and ugly, slutty women.
