Re: missionaries on campus

Christianity is one of China's original religions. We know this because it was, at one time, banned along with Buddhism and Zoroastrianism. The 'Church of the East' all but disappeared as did China's most native and original Monotheism (most closely compared to the Old Testament Israelites system) but Christianity returned again in the Yuan (Mongol) dynasty. It's safe to say you had no idea there were Christian Mongols. From then on we have all kinds of Christian churches, groups, mission all over China and yes I like to say 800+ years makes that one of China's religions (although Christianity goes back much further in China). Now in modern times Christianity might be one of the largest of the minority religions in China and here again these are 100% Chinese churches and denominations. But it turns out ideas like 'saving oneself for marriage' are pretty much Universal moral principles in China anyways. Do you want me to keep correcting you about Chinese culture and history?
