Re: Foreign teachers Union in China

True indeed. I feel that on other ESL sites the majority of folks, real teachers or not, posting there do not really care too much about all the pitfalls in the ESL industry. To them, it is the money they can make that counts and not the concerns for quality education.
Other sites are often too protective of their TC advertising revenue and they attract a completely different kind of teacher.

There seems to be a lot of pages around about 'destroying student debt in x amount of years' groups and pages about, especially on facebook.

A fair few specifically focus more upon Taiwan than the mainland though. The problem is that they advocate illegal part-time gigs quite a lot and the authorities are even stricter about it than in mainland China, the fines are higher, not sure about the prison sentences, but the ban from re-entering tends to be of a more indefinite nature. Would need one of the people with Taiwan experience to confirm that.
