What? Both characters in the show wore masks to protect their civilian identities! As a matter of fact, most superheroes do so to this day. Another popular show at that time was "Batman". The characters in that show both wore masks as well. Sorry, no racism shown there.

Apart for tourist, China as a country never have interaction with bright and intelligent Westerners. English teachers in China and Asia are mainly young people and adventures, some rejectees and some with no much to lose.
