T, I was referring to cases like the above. You contrast that with somewhere like HK, where foreign residents with HKID, can get a pension, perhaps similar to the state pension in the UK, I don't really know, at 66, and welfare...yes I know one british guy in HK who is receiving welfare money each month from the HK government, and well how you can say they are not racist. Also refusing people entry to a bathhouse....I was never refused entry to a sauna anywhere in China, unless they look down on american born chinese or chinese who emigrated to the USA, the same as happened to the japanese guy in the article. Sorry, but I just would not want to go there, much like certain arab countries and other places, it is on my list of "no fly" places.
But if you enjoyed it there and it bought you happiness then I say more power to you. Just to each their own?!
