Not quite true, I've known a few who miss family and food, or at the very least insist on returning once a year. But yes, most never want to return to China, on that you are right. It will change as china gets richer though, the USA is at its end almost.....

We have no proof at all that this "Peter" fellow is telling the truth. His story is very implausible and I am would be willing to bet he fabricated the whole thing.
Like I said before it's VERY UNLIKELY a Chinese woman who has been living in the UK would be even remotely interested in a Tesco worker. She would look for an accountant, doctor, or other professional. And nearly all Chinese women living in the West NEVER want to return to China, nearly all Chinese women will do ANYTHING to get away from China, unless they are from Hong Kong or Taiwan.
Peter's tale is more like a fictional plot for a romantic drama in a Hollywood film.
