How is registering an email address and username going to result in ID theft or political censorship?! How ridiculous! At present the site has a function for ANYONE to see emails so long as they can input a 3 digit anti-bot key. If you are happy to supply your email for that, then there should be no worry about supplying one to register a username.

But then I guess that would put a stop to all of the alts that you use on here to have validate yourself, so I can understand why you'd be against a way of regulating who posts what!

If the board had registered users, it may also need to maintain a database which easily can be hacked by someone from China. This would put all critical comments and reports about crap "schools" in China at risk with unknown consequences for the security of Westerners working and living in China
