Re Finishing degree online?

There are literally hundreds of options for online/distance learning courses from UK universities - just google distance learning or look on the UCAS website. Quality obviously varies from institution to institutions and course to course but you can usually find plenty of reviews online to help you make an informed decision. Ideally you should look for a course that has the same or very similar assessment criteria as the regular degree offered by that uni. It's also sometimes possible to do online top-up courses on one of those degrees you started but didn't finish. They are shorter, less intense and obviously cost less in order for you to gain your degree.

Re Finishing degree online?

There are directories of distance and online programs which are not the same btw, like Petersons/NUCEA.

Look for a school that will accept the credits you already have, like Indiana University. Most programs will require that you take a minimum with them, e.g., 30 semester units.

The subject of the bachelors is not important in the ESL trade, so anything would do.

I just found one at City University in Bellevue Washington. Requiring 180 units but they will allow you to transfer 135 units from other institutions. It is available online or in-class.

This page tells the tuition fees per credit. It sounds to me like they go by the quarter system, meaning unfortunately that each course will cost you at least 5 x 340 USD. I paid about 600 per course at a different school a few years ago, but schools are changing.

I heard of an IT degree being offered for about 7000 USD.

There are also certificate programs that you can get online for cheaper through coursera.org or edx, if you need to work up in smaller steps.

If you're in the UK you could try the Open University
http://www.open.ac.uk/

Even if you're not in UK, I believe you can still study with the Open University, although the fees are a bit higher.

And then to compare fees, there is the University of London http://www.londoninternational.ac.uk/

Alternatively you could book a wekend in Bangkok and spend a couple of hours walking down/up Khao San Road and exit with a Masters or PhD (with your name spelt wrong) plus maybe a CELTA and DELTA for good measure.
(Sorry just couldn't stop myself being skittish on a serious posting)

Finishing degree online?

In considering perhaps one day teaching English in China, I've been contemplating my options for completing my bachelor's online. For a bit of context, I went to college for four years for Music Performance, but I was unable to finish due to illness. Many years later, I went back for another three years -- this time studying Communication -- but was unable to afford to complete my degree that time. So, in total I've got roughly seven years of education but no degree. I'm looking for recommendations for finishing a degree online from a reputable and accredited school.

Thanks
