I don't know about being smarter, whatever you choose that to mean. It is crystal clear though that she's the real thing; she's a real teacher; whereas you and your pal Turnoi just crashed into the profession when you got fed up with other things you were doing in life. I'm the same as you are; although I differ from her in as much as I believe you don't need to know a lot to teach oral English in China; apart from enjoying teaching young people and having a good clear accent. Be fair SB, you'd give her short-shift if she started lecturing you about working on building sites and parading down the cat-walk; two areas where I'm given to believe you are eminently qualified to speak on.
