A Korean student corrected my pronounciation last evening and showed me how to write it. He said "pimang" was correct. "Gochu" is the Korean word for hot chili. The Japanese got the chili pepper from the Portuguese traders in the early 1500s and maybe "pimento" is Portuguese. I'll have to check a Portuguese dictionary.
