Re: Drunken Aussie Yobs On Flight to Phuket

Try this, Taffy: http://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html
I used it myself a few times and found it to be a good predictor of weight loss; (there was a small discrepancy in what my level of exercise was supposed to be but otherwise, it was quite good).

Thanks, Fifi, put that on the desktop. I notice one needs far fewer calories to maintain your weight at my age than a 25 year old. I suppose it would help if I started smoking- or is it the other way around? But an excellent tool.

Taffy, 3,000 is way too much. 2,500 for men is often recommended.

Fair enough 2500 is correct.

However, there are experts around who will say you can eat what you like as long as what you like doesn't amount to more that 2000 calories a day for a woman and 3000 for a man.

Look at this bloke, before he started his burger diet he would have been a star in Bangkok."

Well, I think that fast food should be in moderation even for those who do exercise fairly regularly.

Eating pizza and KFC three or four times a week is not good for anyone.

I'm being very careful what I eat- it doesn't include red meat in any form, or pastry(including pizza), or butter, or margarine and so forth. However, there are experts around who will say you can eat what you like as long as what you like doesn't amount to more that 2000 calories a day for a woman and 3000 for a man. I'm bound to say I am not sure these experts are wrong.

Pizza is often rubbish in China as it's been Chineseyfied- flavouring- no cheddar cheese because it's too strong for them.

It seems a fact that if you obtain your optimum weight eating hamburgers you will be fitter than a slightly overweight person on a healthy diet. I find this all very unsettling to have what I thought a truth questioned.

Look at this bloke, before he started his burger diet he would have been a star in Bangkok.
