Before the black slave trade, there was the Barbary Coast Slave Trade. when Muslim ships would raid British Coastal Towns and take women and children back to North Africa. half of these women and children died on the trip back to Muslim Land and half of the remaining half died of shock brought about by the hospitality extended to the now slaves.
