Criminals do not take any notice of gun laws. A person does not need to be involved in organized crime to obtain a firearm. In Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast there are often shootings. This is not reported in the US media. In fact, places like Melbourne and the Gold Coast are really not safe places to live despite the Gold Coast being promoted as a "family friendly" destination by the Gold Coast City Council which is just propaganda.
