For parents in general: In many European nations, beating up children - whether by spanking or in any other way - is a serious crime, and the parent concerned can go to jail for that and/or their children will be taken away from them to be put under the care of some charity organization or some foster parents.

Parents should never beat their children; beating them up means you have lost your temper and have no good arguments.

I have learned that Trump obviously was beaten up by his parents, and most likely, this also has contributed to becoming the awful person he actually is.
