You are right. They can be brutal. Be especially careful of one that pays twelve dollars an hour. you will regret it. online teaching can be a nightmare if your staff is based in China. They can be brutal hardcore, vicious, and unspeakably cruel. Best advice: Make sure your company has a base in the USA. Otherwise....you are.....

Typical Chinese school, VIPKID, VIPABC, DaDaABC, 51talk, all the same nonsense. I wonder how come people still work for them when they pay late or deduct random unexplained amounts from your paycheck.
They did it again. The director of my online school absolutely promised tp pay me today on payday. I am desperate and have no money. She promised, then....zero answer from anyone. Nothing. Good luck with online companies. They are all a nightmare in one way or another. They are cold, heartless liars thieves and cheats.
