Re: Job Hoax from Egypt?

As a "new" school with a similar name to the well known AIS/AISE schools, I am sure you are aware that confusion is bound to develop. A new recruit may be led to believe that your school has been accreditated, even though you have not made any such claim.
Perhaps you could tell us who is your sponsoring agency?
If you are not associated with AIS, and you are not associated with any of the schools/associations listed below, then perhaps you could tell us a bit more about your school. It would clarify matters considerably.
I've done my research. There does not appear to be any information on the web re: you or your school. Why else post a public query?

Re: Job Hoax from Egypt?

The person who posted this warning is wise to suggest researching the situation. However, he/she should have taken their own advice. There is more than one American International School located in Cairo. AIS is an established organization that opens schools in many different countries. It has been running its Egyptian branch for many years and has developed a solid reputation for the education it offers its students. AISE is a newly developing program (as is clearly stated within the job posting)which is under the auspicies of an organization which has other international programs being offered in addition to the American Diploma program.

Acronyms can be confusing and people with experience in the Egyptian school systems should know to be cautious when considering school names. I invite anyone with concerns about the validity of this posting to call me directly at the school (409-0958, 409-0276) to gather information or, if local, come visit the school to see what we are attempting to build.

Job Hoax from Egypt?

The ad for teachers in Egypt posted on this website (American International School of Egypt) may be a hoax. Proceed with extreme caution! The real and accredited AIS in Cairo hires through job fairs and agents, and they are very fussy about checking references.
