I taught in a city called Shantou for close to three years and it satisfies most, but not all, of your requirements. It might have the same population as Chicago but is physically smaller. It's somewhat close to Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Finding decent paying work isn't particularly hard. Email me if you want more details.
