I actually did not think Xiamen too bad, compared to other cities. I did notice however a slew of GW's and corporate type foreigners there who look down on newcomers, and it is all very cliquey. Then you have the taiwanese community there who keep to themself and are very racist also. I think xiamen is getting a metro system I am not sure. I do believe an australian company designed their roads system, I like how the bus has it's own lane...but yes, there is something about that province, I just can't quite put my finger on why it attracts the worst kinds of foreigners.
