Much to my surprise unqualified teachers can teach in the west after all- so there is hope for ill-educated FT like myself. Even those kipping in derelict cars. I have just received a somebody who sent me e-mail. I politely declined as below and she answered as following. Well I'll be blowed! Mind you might have misunderstood and a 'cover supervisor' is a latrine cleaning operative?

Thank you for your e-mail. My teaching qualification is only a TEFL. That's okay for teaching ESL which I did in China for a few years; however, it won't allow me to teach in UK primary or secondary schools. I did teach English in Chinese Middle Schools, universities and training centres; all in China. Many thanks.
