The US is looking to Mexico for manufacturing, China won't be able to hold onto the manufacturing sector forever. Other countries make better products than China does, China is just making them cheaper for now, but cheap does not always equate to best. Case in point is the mainlanders buying new zealand milk powder in HK....if their own milk and other products are so good, why the need to stock up and fill suitcases in HK.....hmmmmm.

As for social tension, it could definitely get very ugly if all the men revolt in one town. Imagine you as a sole FT being locked in an apartment while all hell breaks loose. I know a few who have left and who won't return because they feel it is too dangerous, should things boil over, which they will eventually.
