I'm trying to come up with a funny premise to a class show. It needs to be based around the theme of "My Family" and be for grade One (7-8 years old)

My idea is one of Good Parents. What are good parents? Parents forget a young boy's birthday and he is upset. His sister reminds him of a great day out they recently had when they went to Legoland. Song about a great day. Finally his parents throw him a surprise party and they all sing final song.

This is really funny and the truth is I'm struggling to visualize this on the stage. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was also thinking about doing "perfect parents" and doing an imagining of what perfect parents would be like.
