Thanks, but I can't very well do the latter without the former I think. I am beginning to think I can never achieve the Mandarin Chinese. Linda the student tries to teach me tones but I can't discern one from the other. I could be tone deaf. It also might help if I found myself an ugly teacher or a bloke because I find her somewhat distracting if you understand.
