Frank, with that attitude, you could be a teacher with only a high school diploma. Teaching really does depend on a good attitude.
I've said this in a post I made maybe 6 months ago. I would hire a person with a fake TESOL who has a positive attitude WAY before I'd hire someone with a real TESOL. This is because, at least in my own mind, the person who gets the real TESOL may not quite have the confidence level the one who is riding on a fake will have.
Anyone who decides to get a TESOL cert to make himself a better teacher is someone who is either naive or not as sure of his own abilities. Anyone who doesn't have a certain confidence level will be eaten alive in TESOL, cert or not.
