I have read everything that Chomsky has ever published, in both his political and linguistic lives. He is one of my heroes. But thank you for the citations.

Of course my point in reference to him is that academicians of the highest caliber recognize the construct nature of their belief systems and refuse to accept or propose theories that suggest unanimity or simplicity. I need not google his publications to find instances where he is supportive of some progressive programs and humanitarian interventions by the U.S. government. His criticism of U.S. militarism is not impassioned and unilateral; it is factually supported and balanced, qualities which would serve forum contributors well.
