Not exactly a Chinese I know but she may as well be with the same entitlement attitude; entitled to leave her husband whom she no doubt married for his stipend and whore herself to Robson Green who no doubt has lots of money. The vicar in question would not be in the position of questioning his faith if he hadn't put his faith in a Chinese-type in the first place. Not really his fault though, any more than Robson Green's , another poor sucker. I asked one of my university students for a meal the other day. I did mean noodles or dumplings but she dragged me into a KFC, where she ordered a whole tub of chicken (100 yuan) for herself. After she'd had her fill I told her I'd forgotten my wallet and offered her a crumpled 20 yuan from my back pocket. She was not amused but paid the bill.
