In response to Re NYT article: "China Close to Passing Strict Law on Foreign Groups" (Martin hainan)

The law may affect some FTs and their educational institutions even if they don't run "clandestine operations". Israel/Russia that you bring in here are high up on the UN list of dictatorships. Perhaps WTO should examine its agreements with China and see how many promises have been broken so far.

FTs are not members of NGOs. The CIA routinely uses NGOs as cover for clandestine operations. Many countries, including Israel and Russia, severely restrict NGO activities within their borders.
