Did you take the easy option and write for a college paper or one of note?

When I was a teenager studying in college for my apprenticeship, one of my teachers taught me what would become a priceless lesson in life.

'Start with your goal in mind, then consider your reasons for wanting to achieve it, and then get to where your goal is by taking the shortest possible route'

He would then quantify that by using such phrases as, 'Safety in mind', 'Don't cut corners', 'Don't be lazy', etc.

Yet at the same time, the guy was a perfectionist!

What he basically taught us was simply not to make unnecessary work for ourselves.

Therefore, if your question was for me, I guess you have the answer, lol.
