Chinese truly consume, and they've been drinking a lot of tea for more than one year. The "simple fact" is that I am just an observer.

Go to Japan or Korea if you want to see a genuine traditional culture. Even Taiwan has more "culture" than China.

Not that I want to derail the fine tea topic but to follow up on your mixer I'd say I'd see some "genuine" copycats there too. Moreover, I'd experience some pretty americanized habits with yankee soldiers in civil clothes in KTVs bawdily staring at little Asian girls. Not with tea but beer, they'd violate those girls whether they want it or not.
