Hahaha, I was laughing very hard,not at you, but at your post. It always made me laugh when some GW idiot would tell me about how great China is, and what an "opportunity" it is, or how China "is the place to be", and what I'd be missing out on if I went home, or some random chinese person, why don't you buy a house, settle in China, don't you like Chinese food, Chinese girl, etc etc

7,000 rmb a month is the welfare payments in some countries, and much less than minimum wage. I am sure the french guy who saw his chinese wife murdered in front of him by a xenophobic nutter with a sword certainly regretted coming to China, as did the american who got stabbed outside the carrefour in Beijing. Both of those were in Beijing. Also roaming gangs who like to assault foreigner. Then there was the black guy who was a student who was attacked for having a pretty girlfriend in Chongqing, and his girlfriend insulted for dating a black guy. Any foreigner who lives in a big parochial city like Beijing or a more "rural" Chongqing, or even Shenzhen with migrants from all over, especially with a chinese girlfriend or wife must realize that they should keep both eyes open, and look over your shoulder.
