Most, if not all, western programs brought in China are adjusted to local needs, so that Ms. Chen or Mr. Ping with their masters in English can oversee the scope of curriculum and tell the foreign experts what to do/how to do their jobs.The locally mistranslated/re-invented standards/guidelines set the tone for local teachers/directors, students and to large extent foreign teachers too.

if you are a native English speaker and decide to take your masters in a non-English-speaking country then don't expect the same leniency from your professor as his own countrymen- although the corrections your professor keeps asking you to make will be turning everything into chinglish
