They're all good if you've been in China for years and have good reason to be there for the long term (manufacturing etc), and can't be arsed to constantly apply for visas. However, they're rare as rocking horse shit and confuse the shit out of most hotel staff and whoever you would otherwise need to register your visa with, as they've usually never seen one before.

What's more, you actually have to spend x amount of time in the country per year, even have to renew the damn thing every so often. Most foreigners will just be fine with their appropriate visa category; and it's not even worth the effort as more than 90% of applicants get rejected, even if they're in pretty good jobs in important sectors. Most English teachers will never get one unless they've got some sort of dodgy relationship going on with a university Dean and they're a complete Dashan wannabe type of sinophile.
