You are obviously not a veteran. A veteran would not support Obama going to Hiroshima, nor
would they be offended by the term "Japs". Japs is short for Japanese and is a
world commonly used in Australia and New Zealand.

It would be a form of political correctness to just say Japanese and not use
"Japs".

I have a degree in linguistics, You don't believe I do. Therefore, I have the right to be
skeptical about your claim to be a US Navy veteran.

And in the UK, if a TV reporter said, during the cricket, the 'Paki's were all out', he'd be fired. In Australia it's OK.

Just another example of PC out-of-control.

I've heard Brits screaming about Aussies calling them 'Poms'. I'm a 'Pommie Bastard', yet do I care?

Aussies, Sandgropers, Canucks, Limeys, Pakis, Septic Tanks, Taffy, Scotty, Paddy, etc.

It's the WAY in which these words are used that invokes the meaning.

If I come home from work feeling extremely tired and say 'I'm fucked', is that 'bad language'?

She's fuckin' stunning! Is that 'wrong'?

I dropped my I-phone down the toilet and it's fucked - Oh, kill me for using bad language!

'Pigsy, you're an Aussie twat' is far away from 'Pigsy, you Aussie twat....' yet the PC brigade see no difference.

It's so pathetic that it's not worth spending time writing about it.
