In response to China: advice needed (newbie sensei)
I'm a Japanese teaching English here in Taiwan. There are English teachers from Korea, Hong Kong, Ukraine and the Philippines at our university. They are all very popular among the students, and the school recognises this. You can consider coming to Taiwan. People will love you just for the fact that you are connected to Japan. Japan is the most popular country in Taiwan, and many who don't get to learn Japanese would try to communicate with the Japanese in English.
