Pigsy, you'll get no argument from me on that, but my main reason for posting was not that the school had gone bankrupt, but......

"The company issued me my work permit. If I leave the company, my work permit would be revoked, and I can't stay in China without a work permit. My entire family is in Beijing now,"

This highlights a serious potential dilemma that could be faced by many others. School closed yet the FT can't get another job or be released from the contract without a 'release letter' from the closed school.
