I agree with this.

Still in early 20th century, women were not allowed to own properties and work for a living. The ONLY way out of poverty was marriage. That's Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

But now, women have the same rights as men when it comes to money, and they no longer need marriage. Which has become a totally obsolete institution.
