Not a jibe at all mate. I was in the construction industry (as a developer) for several years in Perth.

I remember a roofer turning up at a 'house', that was up to plate height, and scratching his head for hours because nothing seemed to 'fit'.

Both the person who laid the slab AND the bricklayer had made the house a whole metre too long. It was no wonder that his roof trusses were too short, lol.

They got the concrete guy AND the bricklayer back to re-do it as-per-plan, which held construction up for two weeks.
