You maybe right in saying,"How does an individual know whether a vocation is suited to them or not until they try it?" I said maybe. If the case is pedagocic instruction is the right vocational choice, then you tell me fish why so many in the ESL field remain itinerant unqualified instructors, for years on end, simply because places like South Korea draw clientele because the wages are high for every Tom,Dick and Harry?

It is flatly unfair people like me study for a year and a half and then be expected to receive the same base salary as every other unqualified/untrained "Janus Instructor",in countries where educational policy is unregulated.

I qualfied as a TESOL instructor in a country in the Oceania region. In the region it is almost impossible to work with a certificate of any type.Infact,on line TESOL certificates are worth zero in Oceania.I have been working in education for over six years as tutor/specialist teacher and more recently as a qualified instructor.Believe me I thought I knew what I was doing when I worked in Seoul in 2001.In retrospect, considering I received formal instruction on how to teach, now that I am qualified,I knew nothing about the skill.I say that retrospectively.

Everybody knows you can make lots of cash by working in Japan or the UAE.However, people should consider taking up studies in education if they like the money.I took up the profession because the travel side of it is a bonus, but in the process of teaching one gets to see how that hardware known as "The Brain" absorbs and processes language with the correct application of software(software is the program or syllabus designed for learners according to needs, comprehension and ability.)

So,if that software unqualified teachers apply and deliver is unspecified for a purpose, then those teachers are doing more damage than good.Tell me,what good is a lesson plan if there is no objective in a program? Tell me,what justice are those schools exemplifying if they do not have set aside goals for their students? Tell me,what is the principle behind "A particular Lesson" if there is no overall objective in the curriculum jigsaw?

Now I got your attention.
